Respond more personally and accurately to messages with one tap on your Pixel Watch 4, using Gemini and open-source AI to generate expressive replies from notifications.
Important:
- This feature is only available for Google Pixel Watch 4 with a compatible Google Pixel 9 and later.
- When connected via Bluetooth to your phone, your Pixel Watch uses your phone’s Gemini. When your watch is disconnected from Bluetooth, it uses the watch on-device AI model.
Turn Smart Replies on or off
Smart Replies are turned on by default but can be turned off in the settings.
- Open the Google Pixel Watch app

- Tap Notifications

- Choose how you want your replies generated:
- AI generated: Get a list of AI-suggested replies.
- Basic: Get pre-written replies such as “yes” or “no.”
- None: Turn off Smart Replies.
What is open source AI

What happens to your data
