Fix issues with passes on your smartwatch

I can't find a pass on my watch after adding it on my phone

Common reasons why a pass may not appear on your smartwatch after adding it on your phone include:

  • Your watch isn't connected to the Internet or mobile data. Check your connection and try again.
  • Expired passes in the Google Wallet mobile app don't appear on your smartwatch.
Some passes are unusable in the Wallet app on my watch

Some passes and items can't be used on your smartwatch and can only be used with Google Wallet on your phone.

Examples of passes that can't be used on your smartwatch include:

  • COVID cards
  • Health insurance cards
  • Other private passes
A pass won't scan

Depending on your watch's brightness or contrast and the physical scanner itself, certain passes with dense barcodes or QR codes may not scan properly. When we think this might be the case, you'll find a disclaimer beneath the barcode or QR code suggesting that you open it by phone. If you can't scan the pass, open it on the phone.
