Lock screen widgets give you quick access to essential content and features. You can add widgets like Clock, Timer, and Weather to quickly check content while your tablet is locked.
Turn lock screen widgets on or off
- Open your device's Settings app

- Tap Hub mode

- Turn Show widgets on lock screen on or off.

Access your lock screen widgets:
- Swipe from the right edge of your screen to the left to access your lock screen widgets.
- Tap the widget you’d like to use.
Your lock screen won't have widgets if you disabled it in settings or if you manually removed all your widgets from the grid.
Add, remove, or customize widgets
Add widgets
- Touch and hold the widget screen.
- Tap Customize widgets
- Tap and hold the widget you want, then drag it to your desired spot on the grid.
- Tap Done.
Remove widgets
- Touch and hold the widget screen.
- Tap Customize widgets.
- Select the widget you’d like to remove and tap Remove.
- A notification appears at the bottom of the screen when the widget is successfully removed.
- Tap Done.
Resize widgets
Important: This feature is supported by select apps on your Pixel Tablet indicated by a plus sign.
- Touch and hold the widget screen.
- Tap Customize widgets.
- Tap the plus sign of the widget you’d like to resize.
- Hold and drag the edge of the widget to resize it.
- Tap Done.
Reorder widgets
- Touch and hold the widget screen.
- Tap Customize widgets.
- Choose the widget you’d like to reorder.
- Tap and hold the widget tile and drag it to your desired spot on the grid.
- Tap Done.
Tip: For first-time users, tap the customization tile to add, remove, resize, or reorder your lock screen widgets.
