Change the wallpaper on your Pixel Tablet

You can change the background images on your Pixel Tablet's home screens and lock screens. You can choose from your own photos or use images that come on your tablet, including images that change automatically.

Important: Some of these steps work only on Android 14 and up. Learn how to update your Android version.

Change wallpapers on your Pixel Tablet

1. Open your device's Settings app .
2. Press Wallpaper and style.
3. Press Lock screen or Home screen.
4. Choose a wallpaper or press More wallpapers.
   • To use your own image, press My photos.
   • To use a curated image, tap a category tap an image.
5. Tap Set wallpaper or Done .
   • Tip: You might need to download the image first.
6. If available, pick which screen(s) show the wallpaper.

Customise wallpapers on your Pixel Tablet

Change the colour of icons and text

To pick your Home or lock screen's icons and text colours:

1. Open your device's Settings app .
2. Press Wallpaper and style.
3. Press Lock screen or Home screen.
4. Choose a colour or press More colours.

Use themed icons

To change supported app icons to match your device's colour scheme:

1. Open your device's Settings app .
2. Press Wallpaper and style.
3. At the bottom, turn Themed icons on or off.​

Use a daily wallpaper

1. Open your device's Settings app .
2. Press Wallpaper and style.
3. Press More wallpapers.
4. Choose a wallpaper category.
   • Daily wallpaper doesn't work with all wallpaper categories.
5. Press Daily wallpaper .
6. Press Ok.
