You can use two apps at the same time on your Pixel Tablet. In split screen mode, you can change the size and position of apps or drag data between compatible apps to multitask.

Use split screen mode to use two apps at the same time on your tablet's screen:
Enter split screen mode from the taskbar
- In the taskbar, touch and hold an app icon
- Tap Split

- Tap another open app or an app in the taskbar.
Enter split screen mode from an open app
- Swipe up slowly from the bottom of the Home screen.
- Lift your finger when your most recent app appears.
- Important: If you use 3-button navigation, tap Overview

- Tap Split
- Tap the second app you want to open.
Change the size and position of apps in split screen
- To change the size of each app, drag the line in the middle of the screen left or right.
- To swap the position of your apps, double tap the line.
Exit split screen on your Pixel Tablet
To close both apps in split screen mode:
- Gesture navigation: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to return to your Home screen.
- 3-button navigation: Tap Home
