How to wear Google Pixel Buds

Get a high-quality and comfortable listening experience with your Google Pixel Buds. Use this article to learn how to properly adjust your Pixel Buds to best fit your ears.

How to Wear your Google Pixel Buds Pro 2

Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a

Get the right fit (Pixel Buds Pro 2 and 2a)

  1. Gently insert an earbud into each ear.

  2. Twist the stabilizer counter-clockwise on your Pixel Buds for a secure, custom fit that locks your earbuds in place, especially during physical activity.

  3. Try different eartip sizes for each ear to find the best fit. Eartips are available in extra small, small, medium, and large sizes. Your Pixel Buds have the medium eartips attached by default.

Understand Eartip Seal Check

Important: This feature is only available on your Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Buds Pro 2, and Pixel Buds 2a. It's not available on your Pixel Buds Gen 1 (2017), Pixel Buds (2020), or Pixel Buds A-Series.

Eartip Seal Check can help you check the quality of your eartip seal and get the best possible sound. You can access this feature depending on your device.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Connected devices.
  3. Tap Pixel Buds' settings Settings and then Device details and then Sound.
  4. Tap Eartip Seal Check.
  1. Open the Google Pixel Buds app .
  2. Under “Device details,” tap Sound and then Eartip Seal Check.

With Silent Seal™ 2.0, Pixel Buds Pro 2 offers twice the noise cancellation as Pixel Buds Pro. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in music or have clear audio for your video call.

Pixel Buds Pro

Get the right fit

  1. Gently insert an earbud into each ear.
  2. Slightly rotate it back and forth until it comfortably stays in place when you move your head or tap either earbud.

Choose the right eartips (Pixel Buds Pro)

  • Your Pixel Buds include medium eartips attached, with small and large sizes in the box. Since each ear is unique, try different sizes for each to find the best fit. A tight seal improves sound, noise cancellation, and mic performance.
  • If you don’t get the audio or call quality you expect, try bigger eartips. To swap eartips:
    1. Pull the attached eartip off and press the other eartip onto the earbud until you feel a light snap.
    2. Gently pull on the eartip to ensure that it's properly attached.

Pixel Buds and Pixel Buds A-Series

Get the right fit

  1. Gently insert both earbuds with the stabilizer arc tucked into your ears.
  2. Slightly rotate it back and forth until it comfortably stays in place when you move your head or tap either earbud.

  • Your Pixel Buds comes with medium-sized eartips attached. The box contains eartips in small and large sizes.
  • Ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit. A tight seal gives you better sound and mic performance.

Pixel Buds (Gen 1) (2017)

Google Pixel Buds are designed to sound great and fit comfortably in your ears. To properly adjust the Pixel Buds for the best listening experience:

  1. Adjust the loop for each Pixel Bud. To do so, pull the cord to adjust the loop size for each Pixel Bud.

  2. Tuck the loops into your ears. With the loops tucked, the Pixel Buds should fit comfortably in your ears.
