Use Spatial Audio and head tracking

How to use Spatial Audio on your Google Pixel Buds Pro

Note: Google Pixel Buds Pro with Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro and most newer Pixel phones (not compatible with A-Series phones)

Spatial audio is an immersive audio experience that puts you at the center of the action, making content sound more realistic. The sound is "spatialized" to create a multi-speaker effect (similar to a surround sound setup) with Pixel Buds Pro. This works best with movies and TV shows. You can try out this new feature on streaming services such as HBO Max and Netflix Premium (subscription required).

Turn on Spatial Audio and head tracking

By default, head tracking is off.

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings and then Connected devices and then Pixel Bud's settings Settings .
  2. Turn Spatial Audio and Head tracking on or off here or tap Spatial Audio and then turn on Spatial Audio and Head tracking.

Note: There is a demo for Spatial Audio in the Spatial Audio menu.
