Customise the bass on your Pixel Buds A-Series

You can use the sound menu to optimise your Pixel Bud's bass levels to match your preferences. This feature can be used with a device running Android 6.0 or newer and Pixel Bud app 3.282 or newer.

These settings will stay the same no matter what source device you're using (phone, tablet, etc.), but only when you're using Pixel Buds A-Series. They won't work if you are listening using other headphones or speakers.

To adjust the bass using the slider or enable Volume EQ, update the app.

Important: If you haven't updated your Pixel Buds app to the latest version or if you're not using Pixel Buds A-Series, you will only see bass boost. If you are using Pixel Buds Pro, you can find bass boost, Volume EQ and other EQ customisations in your EQ settings.

Customise bass

1. On a Pixel phone with Android 10+: Go to your phone's settings Connected devices Pixel Bud's settings .
   On other Android devices: Open the Google Pixel Buds app .
2. Tap Sound.
3. Move the slider to adjust the bass level.¹

Volume EQ

Enable Volume EQ to improve bass and treble at lower volume levels.

1. On a Pixel phone with Android 10+: Go to your phone's settings Connected devices Pixel Bud's settings .
   On other Android devices: Open the Google Pixel Buds app .
2. Tap Sound.
3. Turn on Volume EQ.
