Pay with a QR code (Singapore only)

Important: This article is for Google Pay in Singapore. This info may not apply for Google Pay users outside of Singapore.

To pay a business quickly with Google Pay, you can either:

• Scan the QR code. 
• Upload the QR image from your photo gallery.

This feature is available at businesses with “PayNow QR,” or “SGQR With PayNow,” or “FavePay.”

To pay someone quickly with Google Pay, you can: 

• Scan their QR code.

Pay a business

Important: Google Pay supports PayNow and FavePay QRs. Sometimes, they are displayed as part of an SGQR.

Step 1: Scan or upload the QR code

1. On your device, open the Google  Pay app .
2. Sign in to your account. 
3. In your homepage, open the QR scanner. You can either:
   • Swipe left.
   • At the top left, tap Scan .
4. Scan the QR code or upload a QR image from your photo gallery.

Step 2: Enter the payment info

1. Enter the amount you want to pay.
2. To describe your payment, add a note.
3. At the bottom right, tap Done .
4. Verify your form of payment.
5. Tap Proceed to pay.

Pay with FavePay QRs

Like PayNow, you can scan FavePay  QRs through the Google Pay app. When you use FavePay, you can earn FavePay partner cashback. Learn more about Fave loyalty program.

To view the FavePay offer details:

1. Open the Google Pay app .
2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
3. To view the offer details, tap Offers.

To view the FavePay partner cash back reward details:

1. Open the Google Pay app .
2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
3. To view the offer details, tap Rewards.

Pay someone

Step 1: Scan the QR code

1. On your device, open the Google Pay app .
2. Sign in to your account.
3. At the bottom, tap +New Payment.
4. At the top right, tap Scan QR Code.
5. Scan the QR code.

Step 2: Enter the payment info

1. Enter the amount you want to pay.
2. To describe your payment, add a note (If applicable).
3. At the bottom right, tap Done .
4. Verify your form of payment.
5. Tap Proceed to pay.
