Manage your individual payments profile

When you first make a purchase through Google, your payment info gets saved in a payments profile. The next time you buy something through Google, you can reuse the info in the payments profile.

Any payments profile you create is associated with your Google Account.

Your individual Google payments profile stores info like:

  • The name, address, and tax ID, when required legally, of who's responsible for the payments profile.
  • Credit cards, debit cards, bank accounts, and other payment methods you’ve used to buy through Google in the past.
  • You can use other addresses that you added across Google services, like autofill on Chrome and Google Pay.
  • Receipts and other info about past transactions.
  • Subscriptions and recurring payments.

Manage your payments profile settings

Your payments profile contains the following settings:

  • Payments profile ID: The payments profile ID (formerly Billing ID) is the unique number we use to identify the legal entity responsible for bills associated with this Payments account. The legal entity is the organization or individual to which this Payments account is registered. This ID can’t be changed.
  • Country or region: You can’t change a legal country or region associated with your current payments profile. If you moved, are traveling, or have temporary residence in another country, you must create a new payments profile.
  • Account type: This setting is permanent and may be used for tax and identity verification. This will be shown as an Individual or Organization, if you’re a business, organization, partnership, or educational institution.
  • United States tax exemption info: Some businesses may qualify for a US tax exemption. Learn more about business tax exemption info.
  • Name: This name appears on invoices and tax documents. Learn more about how to change your payments profile legal name.

  • Phone number: This is the phone number associated with your profile.
  • Document language preference: This is the language you prefer for documentation.
