About Agentic checkout with Google Pay

Important:

  • This feature is currently only available in the US, in English and for select merchants that accept Google Pay as a payment method.
  • You need to have:
    • A valid payment method saved in your Google Account to use with Google Pay
    • A US address saved for Google Pay

How Agentic checkout uses AI

Agentic checkout uses an AI agent to complete these steps:

  1. Securely purchase the product for you using your selected Google Pay payment method.
  2. Send updates through email and notifications to your device as your order is placed.

Tip: Your payment info is encrypted and kept private as the agent makes the purchase on your behalf.

Common questions about Agentic checkout

Is Agentic checkout available for all online stores?

This feature is available at select US merchants that accept Google Pay online. We’re working to expand the number of merchants where Agentic checkout can be used. Eligibility requirements apply and merchant availability can change.

Can I use my loyalty rewards or promo codes with Agentic checkout?

Currently, Agentic checkout doesn't support promo codes or loyalty rewards

Agentic checkout doesn’t work

Important:

  • This feature is currently available only in the US, in English, and with select merchants that accept Google Pay as a payment method.
  • Make sure you have:
    • A valid payment method saved in your Google Account to use with Google Pay.
    • A US address saved for Google Pay.

You'll get a notification or email if your purchase is unsuccessful. This happens if:

  • The product goes out of stock or if the price changes significantly between the time you confirm and when Agentic checkout tries to buy it.
  • Your card has expired or the payment was declined.
The price changed after I clicked Buy for me with GPay

If the price goes up, the purchase won't go through, and you won't be charged. Agentic checkout is designed to buy the product if the final price is the same as, or lower than the total price you confirmed.
