How Agentic checkout uses AI

Agentic checkout uses an AI agent to complete these steps:

1. Securely purchase the product for you using your selected Google Pay payment method.
2. Send updates through emails and notifications to your device as your order is placed.

Tip: Your payment info is encrypted and kept private as the agent makes the purchase on your behalf.

Buy now, pay later with Agentic checkout

Important: Buy now, pay later is currently only available for users in the US. This feature is also limited to selected purchases within Gemini and AI Mode in Search, for transactions made in US dollars only.

Buy now, pay later is an alternative payment method that lets you make a purchase and pay for it over a series of instalments. This payment method is available when you use Google Pay to make an online purchase from selected merchants.

Google Pay gives you the option to select from various buy now, pay later providers. Financing isn't offered by Google; it is offered through providers, each with their own requirements.

How to use buy now, pay later with Agentic checkout

1. At the checkout, select 'Pay over time'.
2. On the merchant's site, choose a payment plan.
3. Accept the legal terms.

Tip: Merchants have minimum and maximum limits for total transaction amounts.

Is Agentic checkout available for all online shops?

This feature is available at selected merchants in supported countries. We're working to expand the number of merchants where Agentic checkout can be used. Eligibility requirements apply and merchant availability can change.

Agentic checkout doesn't work

Important:

• This feature is currently only available in the US, in English and with selected merchants that accept Google Pay as a payment method.
• Make sure that you have the following saved in Google Wallet:
  • A valid payment method
  • An address in the US

You'll get a notification or email if your purchase is unsuccessful. This happens if:

• The product goes out of stock or if the price changes significantly between the time that you confirm and when Agentic checkout tries to buy it.
• Your card has expired or the payment was declined.

The price changed after I clicked Buy for me with GPay

If the price goes up, the purchase won't go through and you won't be charged. Agentic checkout is designed to buy the product if the final price is the same as or lower than the total price that you confirmed.
