Add a bank account in the Google Pay app

To help send money to friends and family, you can link a bank account in the Google Pay app. In the US, you can also use a bank account to:

  • Add money to your Google Pay balance.
  • Transfer money out from your Google Pay balance.
If you set up a bank account, you can use Google Pay to send money to friends and family.

Important: You can only add Standard Chartered Bank, OCBC, and DBS Paylah bank accounts.

Step 1: Choose your bank in Google Pay

  1. Open the Google Pay app .
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Payment methods and then Add bank account.
  4. Tap your bank and continue to their website.

Step 2: Sign in to your bank to link your account

  1. On your bank’s website, sign in to your account.
  2. On your bank’s website, enter the one-time password that’s sent to the phone associated with your account.
  3. Choose the account you want to link with Google Pay.
  4. Accept the Terms of Service.
  5. To link your account to Google Pay, follow the on-screen instructions.
