Can't find contacts on the Google Pay app

If you want to send money to friends or family but can't find them on the new Google Pay app, follow these steps.

Search for someone in your contacts with their name, phone number, or email. If you can’t find them, you should:

• Make sure they downloaded the new Google Pay app.
• Check that they have a United States (US), Singapore (SG), or India (IN) phone number.
• Ask them to turn on the “Allow people to find you” setting, if they haven't.

Allow people to find you

1. Open the new Google Pay app .
2. At the top right of the Pay homepage , tap your profile picture or initial.
3. Tap Settings Privacy and Security.
4. Turn on Allow people to find you.

Tip: Once they turn on the setting in the new app, you can find them with their full phone number or email address.
