Transfer money out of the Google Pay app

You can transfer money from Google Pay to a bank account or debit card.

  • With your bank account, the transaction can take 1–3 business days. You can track the status of your transaction in the Google Pay app or Google Wallet website.
  1. Open the Google Pay app
  2. On the top right of the home screen, tap your profile icon.
  3. Below your profile and tap Google Pay balance .
  4. Tap Transfer out .
  5. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  6. Tap Next. 
  7. Choose a payment method. 
    • If there’s no payment method, learn how to add a payment method
    • When you transfer money out of your balance through a bank account, you can transfer at no cost and it should be available in your account within 1–5 business days. 
    • When you transfer money out of your balance through a debit card, transfers are usually instant. There's a fee of 1.5% (minimum fee of $.31) for these transactions.
  8. Tap Transfer out.

Transfer money out of the Google Wallet website 

You can transfer money from Google Pay to a bank account. 

  1. Go to wallet.google.com.
  2. Click Payment Methods.
  3. Click Money in Google Pay or Google Pay balance and then Transfer out.
  4. Enter the amount that you want to transfer out.
  5. Select the bank account that you want to transfer to.
  6. Click Transfer out.

  • When you transfer money out of your balance through a bank account, it should be available in your account within 1–5 business days.

Access money when account isn’t supported
