Find, download, or delete Google Pay info

You have control over your Google Pay data. You can export a copy of your data or delete certain saved information you no longer want Google to save.

This article applies to:

  • Your transactions with the Google Pay app or other Google Pay services
  • Gift cards, loyalty cards, and boarding passes added to the Google Pay app

Find your Google Pay data

You can find your Google Pay data in the “Insights” tab of the Google Pay app and at

  • Transaction information: To find transactions, go to the Google Pay app or
  • Payment methods, transit passes, loyalty cards, gift cards, and offers: Find some information about these items when you select the card icon at the top right of the Google Pay app home screen.

Stop or start using data to personalize content

Manage Google Pay data & personalization settings

  1. On your phone, open the Google Pay app .
  2. In the top right, tap Account  and then Settings.
  3. Within Settings, tap Privacy & security and then Data & personalization.
Tip: You can also access these settings from your Google Account.

Stop or start using Location History

Information about your mobile device’s background location allows the Google Pay app to notify you when you can use Google Pay. This feature gives you helpful information like where you can use your saved payment and loyalty cards. You can control if Google Pay collects your Location History any time.
  1. Go to the “Data & personalization” section of your Google Account on
    • You might be asked to sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Under "Activity controls," select Location History.
  3. Turn Location History on or off.

Delete your activity or data

Delete Google Pay activity from your Google Account

To delete transaction activity related to a specific payment method, remove the payment method from Google Pay.

You may also need to delete related information from Learn more about how to delete your activity.
Important: Data you delete from can't be used for Google Pay personalization. Some data may still be kept in your Google Account for business or legal requirements, or to provide essential Google Pay services.

Delete all activity

Important: When you delete specific Google Pay activity, it won’t delete all your Google Pay data or stop the collection of new data. To delete all Google Pay data, you need to permanently delete your Google Pay service.
  1. Go to your Google Account service deletion page and sign in to your account.
  2. Next to Google Pay, select Delete Delete.
  3. Check the boxes.
  4. Select Delete Google Pay.

Delete specific activity

Tip: You can delete certain information that appears on your profile. For regulatory purposes, Google retains some information.

To delete specific events, like payments, requests for money that involve friends or family, or contactless payment attempts from your past Google Pay activity:

  1. Go to
  2. On the left, select Payments & subscriptions. If you don’t find this option, expand your browser window.
  3. Select Manage your Google Pay experience.
  4. On this page, you can delete the activity you no longer want.
Important: These steps delete information from your Google Account. When you delete tap activity, you’ll also delete in-store taps from your device. To delete other data from your device, go to the next section.

Delete Google Pay data from your device

Tip: If your device has an old version of Android, these steps might be different. Learn how to update your Android version.

Step 1: Remove payment methods

  1. Open your device’s Settings app.
  2. Tap Google Services & preferences and then Settings for Google apps and then Google Pay.
  3. Tap Google Pay.
  4. Tap a payment method.
  5. At the top right, tap More More and then Remove payment method and then Yes remove.
    • Continue until you remove all payment methods on your device.

Step 2: Empty your cache & storage

  1. Open your device’s Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps & notifications.
  3. Tap Google Pay. If you can't find Google Pay, tap See all apps and then Google Pay.
  4. Tap Storage & cache.
  5. Clear your cache and storage.
    1. Tap Clear storageand then OK.
    2. Tap Clear cache.

Delete payment methods, loyalty cards, gift cards, transit passes, or offers

Learn how to delete payment methods like cards and bank accounts from Google Pay. You can also delete loyalty cards, gift cards, or transit passes.

Download your Google Pay data

You can export a copy of your Google Pay data.

  1. On your computer, go to
    • If you haven’t already, sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Make sure "Google Pay" is turned on. You can turn off any Google apps or services you don’t want to export data from.
    • To make changes to the type of data you want to export, tap All activity and saved items included.
  3. Tap Next step.
  4. Select your file type, frequency, and destination.
  5. Tap Create export.
