Hi Joe,

when you get stories from a news source you don’t want to see or about a topic you aren’t interested in you can tap the 3-dots icon in a corner of the story card and tap Hide all stories from [NEWS SOURCE] for hiding the stories from the source, or tap Fewer stories like this and the thumbs down icon for getting fewer stories on the topic.

You may need to take these actions several times so that Google News can learn your content preferences. More information on personalizing content is available here https://support.google.com/googlenews/answer/9005601

Hi everyone, Chris here - Google News Community Manager.

As Paolo advised earlier in the thread, you can improve what shows for you on Google News by following the instructions in this help article (summarized below).

In the "For You" menu:
  1. Under a story you don’t like, click More .
  2. To see fewer stories like it, click Fewer stories like this (This option is not available for the top 2 articles in the "For You" menu as these stories are not personalized).
  3. To see no more stories from that source, click Hide stories from [the source] .
Please note that on Android this functionality is not available in the 3 dot menu once you have clicked into a specific article, it must be done from the "briefing" menu that shows multiple stories on the same page.

You can also read more about Google's approach to news here: https://newsinitiative.withgoogle.com/hownewsworks/mission/

Thanks!

fox news shouldnt even be allowed to still be in existence anyway so please make it simple for intelligent folks to choose for themselves. we dont want to receive enquirer type articles like "jesus was a crossdresser" just to get clicks so they can shove right wing propaganda at you.. i agree with Jamie entirely also.. hey google stop contributing to their divisiveness help show everyone TRUTH

When will vendors like Google allow users to flag inaccurate content? In Other words you should be able to report an article... Then fill pour a form that lets you provide the assertion in the article that was untrue followed by a source on info that would correct it.  This would enable Google and Facebook' to clean their feeds more quickly than using 3rd party fact checkers.
