Notification Tiles Are Clipped

I am encountering a problem with my OnePlus 9 where the notification tiles are clipped:

It would be valuable to get this fixed.

Thank you,
Michael

Check the display and font setting under Android settings on your device;
This is an Android issue known with OnePlus devices (including one I own myself...).
The notification display is not responsive and does not adjust  based on display and font  settings;
Community Manager Subhasmita. recommended this

Thank you for your assistance @MosheTLV.  Unfortunately I am not sure what you mean by this, and it is unclear how to fix it.

Thank you for your assistance MosheTLV.  I am not sure why this was selected the recommended answer, because it did not help me.  I followed your suggestion of setting the font to the lowest setting yet the problem persists.  Please let me know if I have misunderstood something.

Change display size;
Play with both. It works, unless another app is blocking news (e.g adblocker content blocker or antivirus)

Thank you for your continued assistance, @MosheTLV, I appreciate the suggestions.  Unforutnately, no matter the display size or font size I use, it continues to be clipped.  Please note that I do not have adblockers or antivirus installed and it is a very basic unit that I use for news, email, and Google Voice.

Further please note that notification toasts did render as expected when I first got the phone, but a subsequent update adjusted the notifications toasts to render as below.  This only seems to impact Google News only and no other notifications from other applications/settings/services do this.

My reply stands; I own 2 OnePlus devices - in both the issue was resolved by "playing" with both font size and display size;
it's not a News issue;
You can also ask on the OnePlus community,

BTW: I am also a subscriber of other publications (WSJ, WaPost) - in both the notification behivor is similar;

Try to set notifications with no image.

Technology is certainly not perfect but can be addressed if enough patience and time taken.  Telling users to live with the dysfunction rather than actually fixing the problem is no expert take, IMO.  I would never encourage users to simply roll over and give up.  I am not sure how that is considered "expert" advice.

Confirming here that OneDrive notifications render as expected.  This appears to be a Google News issue and different from the problem you have faced in your own phones @MosheTLV

>>“Technology is certainly not perfect but can be addressed if enough patience and time taken.  Telling users to live with the dysfunction rather than actually fixing the problem is no expert take,

Well.. The issue is with YOUR device, this is not a fix to the app.
I run several tests and could not replicate the issue.
As an expert, sometimes the best advice is to understand the limitation of technology, and live wIth a glitch.. That might be fixed by itself... (software update... an app On YOU device that csuse this behavior...)

This advice was given after you  mentioned that you hsd rebooted the device .
 This surely could cause more harm... Rebooting is the last resort when a device is infected, or code isuue - not for clipped notifications..

My reply stands. This the practice I follow, and the advice I give in similar senrios - in any of Google's products: there are glitches that cannot be troubleshooted, and one should live with... Notifications are not a -"must have“ feature of Google news...

Agreeing with waiting on the problem to fix itself, and in fact have done this.  As I mentioned, it didn't exist for the first year I owned this phone then about 4-5 months ago it started after an update.  I've installed 2-3 updates since thinking they would fix this but that has not occurred, hence the reaching out and seeing if anyone knows.

I would still appreciate guidance on those images, as you can see OneDrive has smaller images and renders fine.  I am unclear on how to modify this behavior on Droid.

Outside of this, I will reach out to OnePlus forums and see if I can see what is going on, and update this question accordingly.

In Android settings; under App Management; click Google news;
Verify  that all notification settings are on;
At the bottom under "other" --->default channel - switch it  to off

Thank you for your continued assistance MosheTLV, I appreciate your time and patience here.  I found Google News and see that there is a `Manage notifications` setting.  I pressed this and all selections are checked.  However, I do not see "other" or "default channel" anywhere:

Do I have something misunderstood?

Which OS is installed ?
(Android and OxygenOS)
Sep 9, 2023
OxygenOS 13.1 Android 13
Sep 9, 2023
And ...the "odd" part:
  1. Why all these notifcations are set to "silent notifications"?
  2. You mentioned in an earlier post that all settings had been set correctly. ("Confirming here that OneDrive notifications render as expected.")...[I guess the "OneDrive" as atypo of OnePlus]

When you click on an interest  a default channel should be shown

We seem to have a miscommunication here @MosheTLV, when I click on an interest (e.g. Media) I see what I have already screenshotted for you here:

Please let me know if I have something misunderstood.

Again, click on of the interests listed (e.g breaking news )  to change notification settings and disable "silent"

Again, I did this as shown clearly here (with the interest "Media"), are you seeing the attached screenshots that I am providing to you?

Also, I am not sure if you are aware, but you keep adding new answers rather than sticking to one as a conversation, this is very difficult to follow and confusing.  Let's please stick to one answer.

The moderator  admin  system I use - on mobile devices -     has a different UI; (I mentioned...technology is not perfect...)
Anyway the sequence   of replies (last posted is shown at the bottom) is kept

Thank you for the context.  I will continue the chaos here then :)  After turning off all silent notifications, the issue persists.

Horray!  I am back.  Apparently I was booted by an automated process.  It wasn't very obvious but I could Appeal and it took less than a day. 🤷‍♂️  Anyways, I am back and still have this issue.  Any further suggestions/guidance would be appreciated.

FWIW after yet another update with the issue persisting, I have opened up a ticket w/ OnePlus support and will update here on any findings.

This is now fixed and no longer occurs in the latest version of Google News. 😌
