You can see different kinds of news and video stories on Google News. Some sections cover the same subjects for readers. Some pick stories based on your interests.
See Full Coverage
To see all available sources for a subject, tap or click Full Coverage . To find sources on “Full Coverage” that you subscribe to, scroll down to “From your subscribed sources.”
A computer algorithm finds and lists stories. "Full Coverage" shows perspectives and context. It has no personalization except your language, region, and a section for your subscriptions.
Note: Some of these features are only available if you're signed in to your Google Account.
Search for specific content
- Go to Google News.
- At the top, click Search
.
- Enter your search, like a topic to read about, place to follow, or source to read from.
Tip: To narrow your search results, click the Down arrow . You can enter an exact phrase, include or exclude words, pick a date range, or enter a publisher site (like nytimes.com).
See content based on your interests
To see stories picked by a computer algorithm based on your settings and past activity:
- Go to Google News.
- Either:
- Scroll down to “For you.”
- At the left, click For you. If you don’t see “For you,” first click Menu
.
Note: Algorithms personalize for your Google News settings, like your interests and sources. They also personalize for your past activity on Google, like in Google Search and YouTube.

Read your saved stories or subscriptions
- Go to Google News.
- At the left, click Following. If you don’t see “Following,” first click Menu

- At the top, click the content you want. For example:
- Topics & Sources
- Saved Searches
- Saved Stories
