I connected my account at Friend's google home mini when I was visiting them for holidays, now I tried to unlink my account from Home app from their google home without success.
Please help. Because it's ruining smartness of my home devices. Can't ask them to reset their google home. That might be the last option. I prefer not to do that.

@Roopa: suggest you visit https://myaccount.google.com/device-activity and if your Android still shows there, use that page to sign out of it.
@David J: if you haven't resolved this already, I recommend a Factory Reset so that you can remove the previous owners settings and start afresh.

Hello all, sorry to hear you're finding this frustrating. You've simply joined someone else's home group and now need to remove yourself from the home:
- Open the Google Home app
.
- In the bottom right corner, tap Account
.
- Tap Settings
- Now at the right of the screen you'll see the home groups you've joined. Tap the one you wish to be removed from.
- Tap Home members.
- Next to the name of the home member you want to remove, tap More
.
- Tap Remove.

Hello,
Fear not! There is a solution! The only way to do this is to return to the house where the google home is with your account on it. From there you just go into the google home app. Go to settings - Household - Find your account and click the three dots •••
Click remove, and problem solved!

How is it possible that Google, in its infinite wisdom, didn't think that someone would need to unpair an account from a device after they are no longer near it?

@Hugo: can you supply a little more information? Are you trying to remove yourself from a home group for your devices, a home group of somebody else's devices, something else?
