I have 2 x Nest IQ outdoor cameras both covered on a Nest aware subscription.  Both cameras show available dates in the history on the app but only 1 camera will show it, the other only shows 24 hour history. If I set to timeline view it works but it won't work on event view. Viewing from a browser it's all ok. I've reinstalled the app, cleared data etc but still the same. Any ideas?

Your concern is a bit odd. Just to confirm, the timeline view of your one specific camera is showing only a 24-hour history but you works on event view but another Nest Camera works on both views as well as the same Nest app/mobile phone, right? Can you please provide some screenshots of your Nest App showing this issue? Also, please include the following:
  • Nest app version
  • make and model of your mobile phone with the OS version
  • software version of the Nest Camera in question and the working one
You might want to restart first your phone then try again. Also, if you have other mobile devices, can you try it from there?

Hi Melba, thanks for your reply.  Yes, that's correct, one camera won't show event history more than 24 hours old whilst the other camera is working normally and shows event history for 30 days. Timeline history works on both cameras as per the attached screenshots.  The camera with the issue is the Garden Camera.

I have chosen the 26th October as a historic date for both cameras in the attached images but you'll see the Garden camera will only show events up to 24 hours ago in event view.  I have noticed in timeline view the garden camera states 'no events' whereas the driveway camera states '2 events'.  I have set the filters to show all events, talking, motion etc with the same result.  This also is the same on any date I select within the last 30 days.

Nest app version 5.58.0.3 - re-installed anyway just to check but issue remains.

Phone, Samsung S8, Android 9.

Both camera software version are the same at 4820002.

Other mobile devices have been tried with the same result.
