Nest cameras don't work thru Google Home Hub 0 Recommended Answers 5 Replies 7 Upvotes

The 5 nest cameras will display thru the nest app. However, the same 5 nest cameras will not stream video thru the Google Home app on an android phone. Nor do These cameras work on Google Home Hub. Restarting the phone and hub has not helped.

How might I be able to fix this?

It has been a while since I set this up but I seem to recall having to link Nest with Assistant. Did you already do that? 
 
What kind of commands are you using to pull up the cameras? I think they should be something like "Hey Google, play [camera's location name] camera on [display's name]."

Make sure the you have allowed for the latest permissions in the Nest application.
  1. First, update any existing Google Assistant permissions for your Nest products. This step is only needed if you’ve previously set up a Google Assistant connection, for example, using Google Home to change your Nest thermostat’s temperature.
    • On the Nest app home screen, tap Settings  > Works With Nest > Google Assistant. If you don’t see an option for Google Assistant, skip to step 2.
    • Review the new permissions and tap Allow.
  2. Go back to the Nest app home screen. Select your Nest product > Settings  > Add Google Assistant.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up the Google Assistant.
Once this is done also use the Google Assistant command, "Sync my devices" to refresh your linked accounts. Then try viewing the cameras again.

I am having the same problem. I have synced and unsynced my best devices, rebooted the home hub several times, went in to my nest app and enabled google assistant where available, I even migrated my nest account to google - still I cannot view the cameras through google home hub. I can see the camera through the google home app.  (Note: once I migrated my nest account to google, I no longer have the option to unsync/unlink the devices from google home hub).  If I ring the nest doorbell, the home hub will show the camera. Otherwise I am unable to command the hub to show cameras, hub instructs me to go to the home app to link the device (which as I’ve said before I’ve done countless times.)

My nest app doesnt give me option for 
Google assistant.  Having same problems after migration.
