Google home hub display keeps asking to be setup. 0 Recommended Answers 34 Replies 69 Upvotes

After setting up the Google home hub display, it works for about an hour then asks to be setup again. Checking the settings on the device, the WiFi is not connected. A power off reboot fixes the problem but this has to be done dozens of times per day.

It does answer my question but does not solve my problem. I have had to unplug the device 8 times today to get it working again. Considering just returning and going with Alexa.

Again, this is a bug that is being worked on. You can try a couple things in the meantime, move the home hub closer to your router and try a factory data reset: https://support.google.com/googlehome/answer/7073477?hl=en&ref_topic=7562677

Same here. It works for couple of hours and going back to setup again. For me it happens every day morning.

Same issue. I've had my homehub for a week and had to factory reset 3 times. Looking forward to a speedy fix or will be looking to return it sadly.

I am currently having the same issue, this is a bit ridiculous for something I haven't had for more than a month

My router is the Deco M5. I did find a temporary solution. I connect to the guest Network which is set to only broadcast at 2.4GHz. No drops. However, with this connection, you cannot cast to other devices on the main network. I think the issue is the 5 GHz band. Hoping for an update soon!

Just started to happen on mine when I moved house. Hub is as close as it was and the router is the same one. Very annoying as hub had been working perfectly fo over a year. The router has 5ghz band disabled as this was causing issues with other devices.
