Hi patryk siuta,

Please try saying "Hey Google, sync devices" so the Xiaomi service links with your devices.

Hi Cathal!

Unfortunately, when i say "ok google! Sync my devices!" google answered "you got it. Syncing devices for smart We link". Yes, i have ewelink app (smart we link), but i want connect mi home app, not smart we link.

Google say nothing about mi home app or xiaomi devices.

Hi again,

What Xiaomi devices do you have that use the Mi Home service?

What region (server) is your Mi Home/Xiaomi app connected with? I have my account setup for the Chinese region and English language and have just disabled and enabled the Mi Home service within the Google Home app.

Thanks,
Cathal

Do you have the Xiaomi gateway hub also? I have motion sensors, door/window sensors that need the gateway for communication.

Hi again,

It looks like your device operates using Bluetooth and can only be used with the mobile app. I see no mention of it being compatible with the Google Home. A Google Home can only be used with Bluetooth speakers for audio it can not control Bluetooth devices.

Cathal

Hi! I don't have Xiaomi Gateway. The xiaomi temperature and humidity meter is connected via bluetotth with Mi Home app on my smartphone. My sensor is working correct. I can't connect Google Home app and Mi Home app. That's the problem.

I repeat: I mean the Google Home app on my smartphone, not the physical google home device.

Hi again,

You don't need the gateway with your Xiaomi device, I thought that you had a similar setup to the one I have.

You have a thermometer and humidity meter that can only be controlled by Bluetooth with your phone. For your Google Home to be able to control it it would need to be able to connect with the internet (WiFi) because when you speak with your Google Home it sends the command to Google and then Google tells the Mi Home server and the Mi Home server then controls the smart device.

It doesn't matter that you have linked the Mi Home service because you don't have a device that can use it, sorry.

Regards,
Cathal

To control Bluetooth devices via mi home app you have to have Bluetooth gateway like a camera or Yeelight ceiling light or a speaker etc. But it doesn't guarantee you to get successfully addition this devices. I have aqara hub and a lot of devices work with it but I have no effect after add my mi home account. Nothing there in the devices list too.

Thanks Carlos.
I have similar issue, 8 devices on Mi Home, of which I only see one in Google Home after the link up...
Nothing seems to help... guessing that due to corporate games they don't care to support xiaomi issues....
good luck everyone :)

As i know there are some xiaomi devices that can be connected to google assistant. Such as yeelight. You can't connect aqara switch light to google. So you won't see xiaomi devices eventough you can connect mi home to google

I have the same problem, and have been in contact with Roborock support (support@roborock-eu.com).

They figured out that a Mi Home account with no connected supported devices cannot be added to "Linked services" in Google Home.

This is what happens to me, since I only have a Roborock S6 (which is still not supported by Google Home).  It seems I'll have to wait awhile for support to arrive, since "[t]he tech did not tell me exact date but I suppose it will take several months as google need spend much time to review and sometimes denies.".

Hi all,

I have the same issue.
I live in Portugal have Google home linked to IKEA Tradfri and TP-Link Kasa.

I bought a Xiaomi Mi Gateway (Control hub) and 2 Xiaomi Mi Temperature and Humidity Sensors.
Using Mi Home App logged to China region I was able install the gateway and Temperature sensor and they are working fine in Xiaomi App.

I login to https://account.xiaomi.com and make sure my account is linked to Google, and it is.

On Google Home / Set up device / Works with Google add the Mi Home account it says it is linked but doesn’t list the Xiaomi Mi Gateway or the Xiaomi Mi Temperature and Humidity Sensors.

I’m not sure why.

Cathal you mention above you have your account setup for the Chinese region. Do you own a Mi Gateway (Control hub) if so, can you see it on Google Home?

Thnak you.

Mine has been down for a few weeks with Google giving the message "Cannot sync with Mi Home" when I try to control it's devices, and it didn't start working again until today when I went in and re-linked my account.  To fix this in the Google Home app, click the Account tab, "Set up or add", "Set up device", "Works with Google".  From there select "Mi Home" from your linked services and choose "Unlink Account".  Then scroll all the way down to "Mi Home" under "Add new".  From there just re-signin to your account.  If you already have your devices setup in the Mi Home app they should re-add to your Google Home devices and you won't need to tell Google Assistant to "Sync my devices".  Mine just work again now at this point.

It is because the Xiaomi has multiple servers if you switch Mainlad china in Mi Home app then you can connect all devices and can't connect to Google Home. When I switch MI Home to my country - Ukraine, and connect it to Google Home than I see only Mi robot vacuum, and can't see smart air condotion remote and tempretature humidity sensor.

I can't even find the Mi Home App in the List of supported apps/devices anymore. I once had a working connection between the assistant and the Mi Home app and my only device (Roborock 2) was listed on my old phone (S7). Sice this was showing up but not working on my new phone (S10+) i deleted the link and now i can't set up a new one. There is no more Mi Home in the list. This used to work before. I used to be able to start my Roborock 2 from Google voice assistant.

Must be this:

Google temporarily kills Mi Home integration with Assistant following creepy Xiaomi security camera bug
The advent of smartphones has also brought us smart, well, everything. Smart light bulbs, smart cameras for your home, and of course, smart hubs so you can access your voice assistant of choice anywhere in your home and interact with all of these things. But of course, one big concern remains, and that is the privacy factor.

I can't connect with my 2 Mihome outlets either again. This seems to happen every few months. Having to uninstall and reinstall everything all the time is getting very annoying. I've tried contacting Google the last time this happened but I still haven't received a response. Does anyone have a better fix? I also tried resetting the router which seemed to work one time, but I think that was a fluke since all the other times I ended up completely uninstalling and reinstalling everything.

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for all your feedback and apologize for the inconvenience. The team is aware of the issue and are in contact with Xiaomi to work on a fix. In the meantime, we’re disabling Xiaomi integrations on our devices.

I'll make sure to get back on this thread for updates. By the way, appreciate your help JillG.

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

Late night on January 1st, we were made aware of an issue where a Reddit user posted that their Nest Hub was able to access other people’s Xiaomi camera feeds. We’ve been working with Xiaomi and we’re comfortable that the issue was limited to their camera technology platform. While we worked on this issue with Xiaomi, we made the decision to disable all Xiaomi integrations on our devices. We understand this had a significant impact on users of Xiaomi devices but the security and privacy of our users is our priority and we felt this was the appropriate action.

We’re re-enabling Xiaomi device integrations for everything but camera streaming after necessary testing has been completed. We will not reinstate camera functionality for Xiaomi devices until we are confident that the issue has been fully resolved. We’ll keep you updated with information as more becomes available to share.

Thanks,
Rachel
