About what seems to be every 10-20 minutes, my internet connection will drop out for less than 30 seconds, and come back. I have verified it is the Google Wifi system dropping connection, the modem is fine.

Is there any way to stop this? I had the system working flawlessly for around a year, and now it's borderline unusable.

I also seem to have this as of the last few days.  I was also getting a DHCP message and realised that it was still switched on on my BT Smart Hub (which I'm using as the modem).  Having switched that off I'm hoping things pick up...

I have been experiencing the same type of behavior since Late November / Early December 2019. It was less frequent as, Most of the time I was working at my office and now that I have been working from home it’s almost completely unstable and random.

I wrote a script to log network monitoring and the only patterns I could find were the total time for the disconnect.

When my connection disconnects, I loose gateway routing to modem for a total of 1 minute and 30 secs every time. I did see a few time where it would be a total of 3 mins. Additionally, throughout the day I have reports of 1 sec gateway disconnects almost every 1.5 hours exactly.

When I first noticed these occurances, I was configured double NAT. I know my risks for doing such but my current router, I disabled Wifi and left all my port forwarding etc. I tried disabling Routing and trying the same device as a simple unmanaged switched and I still saw small occurrences but was maybe 1 a week if that.

I then decided to remove the router and purchased an unmanaged switch as a replacement. Everything seemed to be great for the most part but then about a month. 

Fast forward to two weeks ago, I tried everyday power cycling of devices, factory wiping each node (3pack), disabling google services, disable priority devices (device stuck in priority).

I then proceeded to remove g WiFi out of the equation and it seems this is the issue.

Please if anyone has any other ideas of troubleshooting and or a confirmed fix, please let us know.

I have the original Google WiFi 3 pack purchased around a year ago through amazon.

I've been having the same problem for the last 3 days. I've had the original Google WiFi 3 pack plus one more hub each hard wired with Ethernet cables to them since Feb 2017 with zero issues 'til now with the constant dropping countless times a day. I have a Nest hub on my desk and it's showing me every time it drops, and it's far too often to even count. I've tried all the usual restart the router, restart the modems, factory reset and all that and it still keeps happening. Nothing has changed with my ISP, modem, wifi settings or anything like that since I hooked up Google WiFi back in 2017, so I know it's nothing I did or changed.

I'm having the same kind of issues The reliability of this device is very poor with a lot of complaints all over the internet. It would be great to have detailed logs so that a support community could develop organically. The way it is, with the devices unable to produce any diagnostics, the only thing out there is general dissatisfaction with the inability to determine whether the issues are from the same cause. I'm very disappointed.

Try disabling IPv6 via the Google Wifi app. FWIW I tried this suggestion I found on reddit after researching this problem a few days ago and it seems to have cured the hang issue on my network. I had to reboot one of my access points after making the change but since then my wifi connection has been solid.
