I can't connect the WiFi into the Google home hub, I tried  to set up from different phones, I've tried to reset Google hub, reset the modem, restart my phone and the other phones, tried to connect with an iPad, but nothing works. It doesn't show my WiFi on the setup and when iit shows, I gives me and error about the network name, to check if that is really the name.
PS: the Google Home Hub is brand new.

Hey Yber,
 
I can feel how excited you are to set up and use your Google Home device. Just a few question, are you using a dual band router? To know that, you have to check on the router settings or you can also verify if a 2.4 and 5 GHZ connection is showing on your phone's WiFi settings. You can also check that at the back of your router, it is normally written on a sticker attached. Make sure that you have a different SSID and password set up for your networks to make sure that your Google Home and set up device are connected to the same network. Another thing, if your router have  a band steering (ability to switch networks, whichever has a strong signal) - it will also affect settings up your Google Home.
 
I suggest you contact your network provider if you are not familiar on where to find those settings on your router.

Hi, Muddi, yes, it is dual band, I already changed names and passwords, tried to deactivate one of them and I disabled the band steering. But nothing worked. I contacted Google support and spent a while with them on the phone, tried many things, he sent me an advanced troubleshooting, involving the router settings, I already did it, but still doesn't work. I think it might be the Google Home Hub the problem. I have a chromecast connected, it works fine. Thanks for your answer.

It happens the same to me. I have WiFi Home AP and doesn't work, but if I try it with the router it does.

I had the same problem but found a solution for me....
What channel is your 2.4ghz Wi-Fi on? Channel 13?
Change it to something else... I dont think the hub will connect to channel 13 (my other google products do... ) I changed from auto to 4 and works mint

I just got mine today and I am having the same issue of it saying Something went wrong right after I typed in the password for the wifi network. Yes the wifi is doulband and I've even tried restarting the router and it's still not working can ya help me

I can’t connect the Google Nest hub to my iPhone and configure it . Shows me some problem about the wifi. I’ve been making changes in my router but it doesn’t pair at all. Someone in the same problem?

I had this issue with existing Google Home Minis after switching to dual networks. I did a factory reset on my Google Home Minis and they worked
