How to control Bluetooth speakers volume separately? 0 Recommended Answers 6 Replies 13 Upvotes

I'm casting audio from Google Home to my Bluetooth speakers which don't have a volume control. The only way to change the volume is via Google Home which I have to turn up beyond 80% to be audible. The problem is when I speak to Google Home, it replies at the same volume (from Google Home hardware speakers) which is way too loud. Is there a way to control casting audio volume separately from Google Home hardware speakers like with a software mixer?

I got the exact same issue with a yamaha musicast. I do cast to a musicast adapter to my hifi and when turning bluetooth off, the google hole volume is way to high.  Please do add the feature to have a dedicated bluettooth volume

I have the same issue with my AV receiver. I always use Google Home at 30% volume which is comfortable. But I have to have it at 100% while using Bluetooth otherwise I won't hear anything.

Same thing with me. Bluetooth volume should be separate from the speaker volume as how the cast volume is separate to the speaker volume.

I also believe each Bluetooth should have its own volume that could be set within the google home app. Obviously, I can't always have my Bluetooth speaker always at 100% volume because it is 10X loader than the Google home speaker and would wake the whole house if something happened. It would be good to have a different command like "Okay Google, change the volume to 25% on [Bluetooth devices name]".

Same issue.  Why are there 2 volume sliders if they are always locked to each other?!? Also, changing volume on computer controls nothing.  Multiple inconsistent and unexpected behaviors.
