Nest Mini is now available to purchase online and in-store! You can purchase the new Nest Mini at the Google Store, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and other retailers for $49.

Make the most of your new Nest Mini, with our tips and tricks.

Tip #1: Save table space, show off your artsy side.
Of course the Nest Mini fits perfectly on any table with its small size, but sometimes you need extra table space. Mount your Nest Mini to any wall in your house to save space and show off your artsy side. The neutral colors will compliment your home style.

To mount your Nest Mini you will need (not included):
  • Screwdriver or power drill
  • 1 8 Pan head screw
  • 1 Wall anchor
Once you mount your Mini, you can go into the Google Home App settings to flip the volume controls and LED lights.

Tip #2: Let the light LED you
LED lights can detect the presence of your hand and lights up the volume controls. You can easily tap the sides to change the volume and tap the top of the Nest Mini to play and pause music, podcasts, and more.

Want to mute the mic? Slide the button on the back to turn off the mic. The LED lights on top will turn orange for you to know when the mic is off.

Tip #3: “Hey Google, pause the wifi”
“Muaha… Muahaha… Muuuahahaha!” Oh sorry just working on my evil laugh. Imagine the power you will have the moment you say “Hey Google, pause the wifi,” the whole house will wonder what just happened. This is great for dinner time, pause the wifi to get the family all together at the dinner table. Or pause for a quick bath time, relax and unwind with no distractions from social media.

Note: Google Assistant must be set-up to the same structure and account for this command to work.

Tip #4: Dance your heart out.
Last but certainly not least, use the Nest Mini speaker! You can get caught up in the Google Assistant fun and talk to Google all day, but you buy a speaker for the sound. With more bass than the original, your favorite songs will sound better and the audiobook you listen to will come to life.

Turn your dinner party into an after party with stream transfer. After dinner at the table is over, simply say “Hey Google, move the music to the backyard speaker,” set up the bonfire, and party the night away under the stars.

Tip #5: Show it off!

Please help me figure out why I can't get KMBZ-FM, which is a Radio.com station, to play on my Google Nest Mini and my Google Home. I've tried for at least 2 years to figure it out, but to no avail. I thought it was Assistant that had a problem, but I'm able to play that station on my phone using Assistant. I've tried about every possible variation of commands - play KMBZ-FM 98.1, play KMBZ, etc. I definitely should add that I'm able to play any other Radio.com station with no problem. It's just THIS ONE station.

We have a google home in our kitchen.. I think it knows my voice, wife's voice and our kids voices.  I recently bought the google mini for my daughter for her room.  It would not play music, set reminders nor alarms.  It pretty much didn't recognize her voice.   How can I set up her google mini to recognize her voice so it can save her notices, reminders, alarms, etc?   This is getting really frustrating.
