I am having an issue with my nest thermostat. It is not picking any Wi-Fi signal. 0 Recommended Answers 26 Replies 9 Upvotes

My thermostat not picking up any Wi-Fi signal. I have tried to reset the network settings nothing. I have tried factory reset still nothing. I have reset my internet router still nothing. I purchased it earlier this year.

Thanks for bringing this up. I appreciate that you have tried some troubleshooting to fix the issue. It seems that we're having issues with the wifi chip installed on the display of the thermostat. Let me send you a private message to further assist.

I'm having the same issue with my first gen Nest.  Won't detect any wifi networks.  I have two identical Nest's for my two separate HVAC systems and the other is working no problem.  Tried all trouble shooting remedies.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing. Are you getting any message upon trying to connect the device to your wifi network?
 
Have you tried to fully reset the device network on the Nest Thermostat?
You can check on this link to know more about resetting.

It’s not picking up any Wi-Fi connection . Did reset the network nothing I even reset it to factory setting still nothing.

Have done all the resets and restart recommended on the trouble shooting pages, no luck.

Hey folks,
 
Thanks for posting. There's a possibility that this is a communication issue. May I know how far is the router from your thermostat? Also, can you check if other devices can detect the wifi on the same spot where the thermostat is located?

The Wi-Fi router is the same room as the thermostat. They are within 7 feet away from each other. It is not picking any Wi-Fi I switch router to see if it was that still not picking up any Wi-Fi connection

Mine is closer to the router than the other Nest I have on my second system (which works fine), only about 20 ft.
