Google Home App - Phone Number unlisted. No option to change number?! 1 Recommended Answer 40 Replies 51 Upvotes

Making calls over google mini speakers.
My phone number was coming up as Private when I called my brother.
In the Google Home App (Android) I went to Account -> Settings -> Services -> Voice &video Calls -> Mobile Calling -> and there was an option to add/change number.
I added my number and verified it. This was a couple of days ago.
(unfortunately) I also added my number, the same number, to both my parents' accounts. I don't know if this is what has caused my issue.
Now, when I go to Account -> Settings -> Services -> Voice &video Calls -> Mobile Calling -> my number comes up as unlisted with a blue circle beside it (on the right hand side). I cannot 'untick' this blue circle, and there is no option to add/change number. Nothing happens if I click, or press&hold on 'unlisted'. It does not matter if I try this in my account or either of my parents' accounts.
I would like to change the phone numbers on my parents' accounts but how?!
And should my number be coming up as unlisted in the Home app?
I have force closed the google home app. I have turned my tablet and my phone on/off. Nothing changes. Everything is up to date as far as I can tell.
(though, when I call someone else from the mini speakers, my number does come up on their phone so that's something!)
