Google Home App says “Connect to your WiFi to cast” to my Home devices when connection is fine

I recently got a Google Home Hub and have a Chromecast as well.  Since I got it, I am having issues connecting to the devices via the Google Home app on my iPhone and iPad. It says “Connect to your WiFi to cast,” but my connection is fine. I can also stream to the devices oddly enough, but I cannot view the device settings at all. The only way I can get it to work is by restarting my iPhone and it works for a little bit before the issue resurfaces. After doing some research, I logged into my router settings and enabled Multicast, which I thought would do it but I am still having the issue. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks for reaching out! Just an added question about your concern. What is the iOS version of your phone?. Also, please check the version of the Google App. Below are the steps on how to do that.
 
1. Open Google App (G icon) on your phone.
2. Press the gear icon on the upper left corner then tap "Settings".
3. Under "Settings", tap on "About" and scroll down at the button to see the version.

Hello,

Thanks for the response. I am running the latest version of both iOS (12.1.2) and the Google Home app (2.8.107). I honestly think it must be something to do with the router configuration as I can see neither device, so is there a specific configuration or setting that might help?

I have had the same problem for MONTHS!! I just had luck by disabling bluetooth on my phone. When i did that, I was quickly able to view settings on all devices via the google home app.

I tried with two different iPhones same problem but I Gave up a month ago and it’s been sitting there. I’ll try to see if it has a firmware update
