My Neat thermostat disconnected from our WiFi when it updated to new software 4 days ago, and now it can not detect any networks.  I’ve rest the Nest, reset network settings, reset the WiFi,  and even reset the Nest to factory default, and still not detecting any networks.  Any suggestions?

Hello Brian,
Thanks for reaching out,   Since you mentioned that you are getting issue with the WiFi connection of your Nest thermostat, let's try to run some few more test.
If the battery level of the Nest thermostat is low, it will disconnect from the internet, let's try these troubleshooting steps :
Press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu Nest and then image. Settings  Nest and then image.  Technical Info Nest and then image.  Power. Look for the number labeled Battery.
If the battery level gets below 3.6v, your Nest thermostat will disconnect from the WiFi.  If you are seeing this on your Nest thermostat you can  charge the display of the Nest thermostat, here's how you do it:
  1. Pull off the Nest display and use the USB port on the back to charge it with a USB cable and wall charger. Depending on the model you have it will be either mini or micro USB. Note: Do not use a computer USB port or other unpowered USB port for charging.
  2. The the display should eventually light up with a message asking you to connect it to the base.
  3. Reconnect the display to the thermostat base. Make sure you press firmly until you hear it click into place.
Once its battery reaches 3.8V, your thermostat will try to reconnect to Wi-Fi.
If you are getting the same issue you can try to connect the Nest thermostat on a mobile hotspot and see if it can be detected, for more troubleshooting steps you may follow this link
Please let me know if you are getting the same issue with the Nest thermostat upon running these steps.

Ok so I checked the battery, it is fine and above 3.8v.  I tried detecting a personal hotspot, it just keeps searching.  I went through the new list of items and either they had already been tried or did not work.  What next?

Yup, same for me. After update thermostat will not stay connected to the wifi, thermostat claims to have low battery but has been fine for months. My nest smoke alarm is also indicating a failure to connect to wifi. Real safety hazard I would say.
