Why is Google forcing me to change my camera settings so I can't turn off the status light? 0 Recommended Answers 15 Replies 50 Upvotes

I just received an email saying that Google is forcing Nest Camera owners to keep camera status lights on ALL THE TIME. I specifically bought Nest Cameras because I could turn the LED status lights off so they would be LESS obtrusive. Now big brother Google has decided that they want to be more transparent by forcing their Nest Camera users to keep the camera status lights on ALL THE TIME. That is insane!
Don't force your users to lose features on products that they have purchased and pay a yearly subscription fee on. That is REALLY insulting. Let users make the decision. You make the product! You should not be trying to CONTROL how users are allowed to use your products!!!
