OG Nest Hub: Bricked or Broken?

Our OG Google Nest Hub disappeared from the network/Google Home. (Other devices, 3x Nest Mini, Home Mini, Home Max all still operate as expected.) Have recycled power and rebooted router. At power-up, the Nest Hub still does the Grey G/Dancing Dots/Cycling colored rectangle corners/Colored G animation at boot but shortly after that the screen goes blank, still backlit, and the device is non-responsive. It does not appear as a device that can be added in Google Home. Its WiFi SSID does not show up. Holding down both volume buttons for 30 seconds or more does nothing; no Factory Reset, just nothing. Is it now just 17 month old E Waste?!?

After chatting with Google Support, sending them a video of the device booting and ending up at a useless state, some voodoo of trying to boot the device for power-up ten times in a row, and several follow-up emails, it seems Google thinks "the device needs to be replaced" potentially because of some problem with an update having bricked the device. But, because the device is 17 months old, "we no longer support devices that are out of warranty especially if the device needs a replacement." They did offer up "We suggest you to keep your Google Nest Hub plugged from time to time just in case our Engineers releases an update that might fix the issue." And then, when challenged about the absurdity of this, they said "don't worry, our Engineers are already aware of this issue and is working to get a fix as soon as possible."

It's not even clear the device is capable of reaching out for such an update. (Though I do see it is still leasing a DHCP IPv4 address when it boots.)

Of the six Nest Mini/Home Mini/Home Max/Nest Hub devices in the house, this one was the most used/useful. Now it's just so much e-waste unless or until Google somehow ships it a fix. The thought of throwing more money at Google to replace it with another Hub or Hub Max device they might just destroy over the network, only to say "sucks to be you", is particularly galling.

Well, I guess that's sorta nice to hear, but what y'all do in some distant future does not un-brick my Nest Hub in the here and now. And, as of the last time I checked, this morning, it's still very much bricked.

Still a brick... Can't factory reset. Boots to a blank screen. Useless.

The problem is related to some Internet connection to Google server. Already tried all the possible reset, no differences. I have 2 device, the forse some years old, the other buyed 2 months ago, same problem, white screen with loading icon, buttons make sound but nothing else. After have tried all the constantly factory reset repeat the Google continues to write I change Internet connection on the smaetphine and voila all is working...... returning to Internet at home and the problem reappears. Talk with assistant,they say to reset, to send them photos and videos of the problems ending with a mail for change the newest hub but the problem isn't in the hub, server connection that refuse some proviser! I already wrote thisto google but no answer
