Curtis,

Hard to say, but there are labeled terminals for Cooling (Y), Heating (W), and Power (R).

I'm about 85% sure that it is compatible. Can you post a picture of the furnace/air handler wiring?

Thanks for the reply, I'll try to get a picture of the furnace wiring later today.  For reference this is a heat only system from an older home.  There are two thermostats in the house wired up to a single gas furnace.  Would it still make sense for there to be a cooling 'Y' terminal?  Again thanks for the reply.

Looks like the wires go into two boxes for the zone control.  Then to the third box before going to the boiler.

Curtis,

Ya, it's starting to look like the thermostat has a built-in zone controller. Do you know the make and model of the thermostat?

It's very old.  I've here is a picture.  Sounds like I'll need to get an HVAC technician to take a look.

So I hooked it up using W, R, and Y.  This caused the heater to always run.  My guess is that the 'Y' wire might want to go to 'G' and act as the 'fan'?  Does this make sense?

So if I say I have a 'R', 'W', and 'G', the app says I need a common power cable.... Seems like there has to be some way to hook this up.  The old one is a dumb glob of mercury that just trips those wires.

Curtis,

Do you have a boiler system or force air heat only system?

Are those valves for the different zones?
I see one has two cables going to it and the other has three cables going to it, do those cables come from a valve controller?
You said you have two thermostats, are they wired the same? Do they connect directly to the black boxes (valves?).

I'm having problems trying to picture how everything is connected together.

According the the manual I found for your thermostat, a heat only system should just use terminals 4 and 5. The wire connected to terminal 6 should be for cooling which you don't have, but it appears to be connected to the black boxes (valves?)
