JimmyBoyUKGoogle Home Bluetooth - cutting out intermittently during playing anything to the google home.
So I just saw that bluetooth had been enabled in the device settings.
Imagine my frustration when I tried to play music via Bluetooth from both my phone and an amazon fire tv stick and it was almost like when swear words get muted from a song only it was just random almost like someone was pressing mute for a half a second.
Seems to be that Bluetooth isn't quite ready.
Wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
Not impressed.

Tom_ChristianJimmy,
I don't believe that this feature has been released. I know from reading that there have been some bit that have launched prematurely. I'm thinking that may be the case here. Another possibility is that this may be a part of the preview program if you had signed up for that. I haven't received any emails on this so I didn't think that was in full swing yet, however.

WJATJust got bluetooth enabled on both my UK and imported US GH. Must be server side as I'm still on firmware 1.26.9397
Streams music OK for me clear as a bell.
Works only as a music player at the moment, doesn't seem to have a 'headset' BT profile so cant use it as a microphone for Skype/calls which seems a shame - especially as in the UK we are not getting the GH call service announced in US/Canada today.

Nick in AZSame here. Most everyone on the reddit forum have bt now, and a good portion are also seeing stuttering.

JimmyBoyUKGood to know. Had a hilarious conversation with the Helpdesk. They insisted that Bluetooth had not been released and to ignore newspaper articles. Sent them screenshots and then they believed me.
I'm of the opinion that if it doesn't work don't push it out. Just makes google look like amateurs.

Tom_ChristianYeah, so I guess this is an official feature and now has a help page. The only thing I can think of would be a range issue. I gave it a try and it is not stuttering for me, but I am only about three feet away for my test. Can folks confirm if this is working better when your phone is close to the unit.

Bryan PharJust for thought why doesn't Google wake up and stop being so bad at "human" interaction. Bluetooth speakers have been around for almost 10 years! This is not an afterthought or mistake to not allow or have this feature in a voice-controlled; cloud-based speaker and if so than the engineering that seems to dominate most the internet is lacking! I would have gladly gone to amazon echo but my family seems to want to wait for this issues to be resolved.
I am almost sure there is a reason this was put in the design and that Google either doesn't wish to say or is embarrassed to say! Piss poor software engineering doesn't seem a good enough answer. when making a Bluetooth enabled speaker there should be little to no surprised at this point.
