Why your Nest Home Report is in the wrong language and how to change it

Nest uses the postcode or ZIP code you entered in the app to determine which country your home is in. Your home’s country in turn decides your Home Report’s default language.

So if you choose an email language in the Nest app that’s unsupported in your home’s country, your Home Report will still be sent in your country’s default language. For instance, if your Nest home is in the US, but you pick French in the Nest app, your Home Report language won’t change to French, and you will still receive your report in English.

We’re working hard to resolve this issue and appreciate your patience.

Some countries only support one Home Report language, and some allow you to change your Home Report language. Here’s a breakdown of which languages you can pick based on your home’s location:

Supported Home Report languages

English (default), Spanish

English (default), French

French (default), English

Dutch (default), English

French (default), Dutch, English

Other countries

Your Home Report will be in English if your home is in a country
not listed here.
