Know what's included with your trial
You'll get access to the Google Home Premium subscription service for 30 days. However, certain features, like emergency calling, are only available with a paid Google Home Premium subscription and when located in the US.
During the trial period, you can:
- Get more intelligent alerts: Receive specific alerts when your Nest camera detects a familiar or unfamiliar face.
In the United States, you can also get alerts when the sound of breaking glass or a smoke alarm is detected by your Google Nest speakers or displays.
Familiar face alerts aren't available on Nest Cams used in Illinois and may not be available on certain Nest Cams in the EU.
- Set up and use Activity Zones: Highlight areas that you want your camera to keep a closer eye on, and get custom alerts when it detects motion there.

- Nest Cam Indoor (wired, 3rd gen)
- Nest Cam Indoor (wired, 2nd gen)
- Nest Cam Outdoor (wired, 2nd gen)
- Nest Doorbell (wired, 3rd gen)

- Create and share video clips or timelapses.

Important: When it's dark outside, the distance at which your doorbell or camera can detect a parcel may be shorter due to low lighting conditions.
Nest cameras and doorbells help to show you what's going on at home, but the technology isn't perfect. We try to make our camera events as accurate as possible, but the following issues can occur:
- A picture can be confused with a real event. For example, a T-shirt with a picture of a dog might trigger an animal detection event.
- A person crawling on the ground can be misidentified as a pet.
- Close relatives can be misidentified.
