Connect
Google Nest Connect is an optional add-on for your Nest Secure alarm system if you need to extend the range between your Detects and Guard for better communication. It’s sold separately.
Connect doesn’t have a user’s guide in the box. The Nest app will guide you through adding it to your account and installing it in your home. For more information about Connect, see the following article:

Watch how-to videos with the Nest app
After you’ve installed Nest Secure, you can watch videos with the Nest app about how to use certain settings, manage security with the app, and learn about different alerts and alarms.
- On the Nest app home screen, tap Settings

- Tap Security

- Tap How-to videos.
- You’ll see a list of topic names. Tap the name of the video you want to watch.
- Tap the Play icon.
- Tap Done when you’re finished watching a video to be taken back to the video list.

You can customize your settings with the Nest app, such as preventing your alarm from sounding when a door or window is opened. You can also view your Security History so you know when people arm or disarm your system, or what happened before an alarm was triggered.
