Update the Google Home app

To set up your Google Nest or Home speaker or display, Chromecast, TV or speaker with Chromecast built-in, or Google Assistant speaker, you need to upgrade to the latest version of the Google Home app. Upgrading will also allow you to get new features and have a better experience.

Update the Google Home app

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Play Store.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and then My apps and games.
  3. Find the Google Home app.
  4. Tap Update.
