Update the Google Home app

To set up your Google Home, Chromecast, TV or speaker with Chromecast built in, or Google Assistant speaker, you need to upgrade to the latest version of the Google Home app. Upgrading will also allow you to get new features and have a better experience.

Update the Google Home app

  1. Open the Google Play Store app  Play Store.
  2. Tap Menu Menuand then My apps & games.
  3. Find the Google Home app.
  4. Tap Update.
