You can select your preferred news sources and customise the news format on your Google smart speaker or display.

If you use Gemini for Home voice assistant

Customise your news preferences

1. Make sure that your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial.
4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google device.

• To switch accounts, tap the drop-down another account or Add another account.

5. Tap Home settings  Gemini for Home voice assistant Media News.
6. Add, remove or reorder news resources.

Change your news playlist format

1. Make sure that your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial.
4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google device.

• To switch accounts, tap the drop-down another account or Add another account.

5. Tap Home settings  Gemini for Home voice assistant Media News.
6. To decide which news format you prefer, tap Change news playlist format.

If you use Google Assistant
