Change the voice of your assistant

You can change the voice of your Gemini for Home voice assistant or Google Assistant. When you change the voice setting, it will apply to all of your voice assistant devices.

If you use Gemini for Home voice assistant

1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.

4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google device.

   • To switch accounts, tap the drop down another account or Add another account.
5. Tap Home settings  Gemini for Home voice assistant.
6. Tap Voice selection choose a voice.

If you use Google Assistant

Important: Assistant voice & sounds might not be available on some of your devices based on your Assistant language setting.

1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. ​At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.

4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google device.

   • To switch accounts, tap the drop down another account or Add another account.
5. Tap Home settings  Google Assistant.
6. Tap Assistant voice & sounds choose a voice.
