Change your nickname

By default, your nickname is the first name associated with your Google Account. However, you can set a different nickname.

If you use Gemini for Home voice assistant

1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
4. Tap Home settings   Gemini for Home voice assistant.
5. Tap Nickname Edit Ok.

If you use Google Assistant

1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
4. Tap Home settings  Google Assistant.
5. Tap Nickname Edit Ok.
