Electric Shock and Heat: Do not expose Google Home or the power supply to water or extreme conditions. Take care when handling the power supply to avoid electric shock. To provide power to your Google Home, only use the power supply provided with your Google Home. Do not use the power supply provided with your Google Home to power any devices other than your Google Home. If you wish to plug your Google Home into a wall socket, you will need to install your Google Home near a wall socket that is easily accessible. Your Google Home may get hot to the touch; this is normal. Unplug your Google Home’s power supply and let it cool before handling.

Pacemakers and Other Implanted Devices: Google Home contains magnets and components that emit an electromagnetic field and could interfere with pacemakers or other electronic medical devices. Before using your Google Home, consult your physician or medical device manufacturer about the required minimum safe distance between Google Home and your medical device.

Device with Magnet: Avoid placing any media that contains magnets or is sensitive to magnetism, such as credit cards, bank cards, audio/video, tapes, or magnetic memory devices, near this product. Media containing information sensitive to magnets should be kept at least 5 cm (2 inches) away from the product. For example, if you carry your wallet or billfold containing magnetic cards next to this product, information stored on those cards could be destroyed.
Similarly, magnet-sensitive devices, such as a mechanical watch or measuring device, can be damaged if they come too close to this product.

To avoid damaging your device, accessories or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below before using your Nest Mini.

Handling

Handle your Nest Mini with care. You may damage the device if you disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush or puncture it. Do not use a Nest Mini with a damaged enclosure. Using a damaged product may cause injury. Do not expose your Nest Mini to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating.  If your Nest Mini gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.  Nest Mini is designed to operate in a dry, indoor environment.

Your Nest Mini is designed to work in ambient temperatures between 32° to 95° F (0° and 35° C), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 140° F (-20° and 60° C). Do not leave your Nest Mini in places where the temperature may exceed 140° F (60° C), such as on a car dashboard or near a heating vent as this may damage the product or pose a potential risk of fire.  Keep your product away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. If your device becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it is plugged in, move it to a cooler place, and do not use it until has cooled. Your Nest Mini is designed to work at an altitude of up to 6,560 ft (2,000 m).

Repair & service

Do not attempt to repair your Nest Mini yourself. Disassembling the device may cause injury to you or damage your device. Unauthorized repairs or modifications could result in permanent damage to the device and may affect your warranty coverage and regulatory authorizations.

Powering your device

Be sure the power adapter and Nest Mini are well ventilated when in use. Using a damaged cable or power adapter can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to your Nest Mini or other property.  When powering the product, make sure the power adapter is plugged into a socket near the product and is easily accessible. Avoid powering the device in direct sunlight.This device is intended for use with a certified Limited Power Source (LPS) per IEC 60950-1 and/or classified PS2 per IEC 62368-1 rated: 14 Volts DC, maximum 1.1Amp.  

Only power your Nest Mini with the included power adapter and cable. Failure to do so can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories. 

When disconnecting the power adapter from a power outlet, pull on the adapter, never on the cable.  Do not twist or pinch the cable, and do not force a connector into a port.

Prolonged heat exposure

Nest Mini generates heat during normal operation and comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. Avoid prolonged, direct or indirect skin contact when the device is in use because exposing skin to hot surfaces for a long period of time may cause discomfort or burns. 

Environmental restrictions

To prevent damage to your Nest Mini or internal circuits, do not use or store the device or its accessories in dusty, smoky, damp, or dirty environments, or near magnetic fields.  Keep it away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. Do not leave your device inside a vehicle or in places where the temperature may exceed 140° F (60° C), such as on a window sill, near a heating vent, or behind glass that is exposed to direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet light for extended periods of time.  This may damage the Nest Minior pose a risk of fire or explosion. 

Explosive atmospheres

Do not use, store or transport your Nest Mini where flammables or explosives are stored (in gas stations, fuel depots, or chemical plants, for example). Do not use your wireless device where blasting operations are in progress, or in potentially explosive atmospheres such as in areas where the air contains high levels of flammable chemicals, vapors, or particles (such as grain, dust, or metal powders). Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even death. Observe all notices and signs where these hazards might exist.

Radio frequency interference

Observe rules that prohibit the use of wireless technology (e.g. WiFi). Your device is designed to comply with regulations governing radio frequency emissions but use of wireless devices can negatively affect other electronic equipment.  

Medical device interference

Your device uses radios and other components that emit electromagnetic fields, and also contains magnets near the speaker.  These electromagnetic fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers and other implanted medical devices. Always keep the product and its power adapter at a safe distance away from the pacemaker or other implanted medical device. If you have questions about using your Google device with or near your pacemaker or other implanted medical device, consult your healthcare provider before using your product. If you suspect your product is interfering with your pacemaker or other implanted medical devices, turn off your Google device and consult your physician for information specific to your medical device.

Child safety

This device is not a toy. Your product may contain (or may come with) small parts, plastic elements, and parts with sharp edges that may cause an injury or create a choking hazard. Children have strangled on cords and cables. Keep Nest Mini’s cable out of the reach of children (more than 3 feet / 1 meter away) and do not allow them to play with  Nest Mini and its accessories. They could hurt themselves or others or could accidentally damage the product. Consult a physician immediately if small parts are swallowed.

Emergency communications

This device operates using radio signals and may not establish or maintain a connection in all conditions. Wireless devices may not be reliable for emergency communications. While some jurisdictions transmit emergency information over wireless networks, your device may not always receive these communications depending upon network connectivity or other factors.

Radio frequency exposure

This equipment complies with radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. In order to avoid the possibility of exceeding the radio frequency exposure limits, human proximity to the antenna shall not be less than 20cm during normal operation.

Proper handling and usage

Follow these guidelines when using, storing, cleaning, or disposing of your Nest Mini:

Operating temperature

Do not use your Nest Mini and power adapter, at ambient temperatures lower than 0°C (32°F) or higher than 35°C (95°F). If the interior temperature of the device exceeds normal operating temperatures, you may experience the following behaviors while the device tries to regulate its temperature: reduced performance and connectivity or device power down. You may not be able to use the device while it regulates its temperature. Move the device to a cooler (or warmer) location and wait a few minutes before attempting to use it again.  

Care & cleaning

Unplug the product and power adapter before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean Nest Mini and its accessories.
Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean the product or accessories. 

Water resistance 

Do not expose your product to any liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. The device, its adapter, and other accessories are not water resistant and should not be exposed to liquids.

Magnetic fields

Avoid placing any media containing magnets or sensitive to magnetism, such as credit cards, bank cards, audio/video tapes, or magnetic memory devices, near this product or its accessories because you may lose information stored on those media. Media containing information sensitive to magnets should be kept at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from this product.

Google Home Mini and its charger generate heat during normal operation and comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. Avoid prolonged, direct or indirect skin contact when the device is in use or charging because exposing skin to hot surfaces for a long period of time may cause discomfort or burns. Do not sleep on your device or its power adapter, or cover them with a blanket or pillow. Be aware of this issue if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against your skin.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires that all Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), including your device and its accessories, must be marked with the symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin. This symbol means that the equipment must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Disposing of WEEE together with normal waste may pose a risk to the environment and to human health, due to certain substances used in EEE.

Under the WEEE Directive, each EU Member State is responsible for achieving a high level of collection of WEEE for treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal. Before tossing your device, think a minute about how to reduce the amount of WEEE you create. You could, for example, reuse it, recover it, or turn it into artwork. By simply extending the life of your device, you will have reduced waste and helped the EU achieve its objectives.

  • Prolonged exposure to loud sounds (including music) can cause hearing loss. To prevent possible hearing damage, avoid listening at high volume for prolonged periods of time. Continued exposure to high volumes and background noise can make loud sounds seem quieter than they actually are. Check the volume before use.

 
  • Google Home Max should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 113°F (-20° and 45°C).

Follow these guidelines when using, storing, cleaning or disposing of your Google Home Max:

Operating Temperature

Do not use your Google Home Max at ambient temperatures lower than 0°C (32°F) or higher than 40°C (95°F). If the interior temperature of the device exceeds normal operating temperatures, you may experience the following behaviors while the device tries to regulate its temperature: reduced performance and connectivity or device power down. You may not be able to use the device while it regulates its temperature. Move the device to a cooler (or warmer) location and wait a few minutes before attempting to use it again.  

 

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the device before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean the device.
Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean Google Home Max.

 

Connectors and Ports

When disconnecting the power cord from a power outlet, pull on the plug, never on the cable.  Do not twist or pinch the cable and do not force a connector into a port.

Handling

To avoid damaging your device, accessories or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below.

Handle your Nest Audio with care. You may damage the device if you disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush or puncture your device. Do not use a Device with a damaged enclosure. Using a damaged Device may cause injury. Don’t expose your Device to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. If your Device gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.  Nest Audio is designed to operate in a dry, indoor environment.

Your Device is designed to work in ambient temperatures between 32° to 95° F (0° and 35° C), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 140° F (-20° and 60° C). Do not leave your Device in places where the temperature may exceed 140° F (60° C), such as near a heating vent, as this may damage the Device, or pose a potential risk of fire. Keep your Device away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. If your device becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it is plugged in, move it to a cooler place and don’t use it until it has cooled. Your Device is designed to work at an altitude of up to 16,404 ft (5000m).

Don’t attempt to repair your Device yourself. Disassembling the device may cause injury or damage to your device.

Powering Your Device

Be sure the power adapter and Google Nest Audio are well ventilated when in use. Using damaged cables or power adapters, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the Device or other property. When powering the Device, make sure the power adapter is plugged into a socket near the Device and is easily accessible. This device must be used with an AC adapter that has been certified with a Limited Power Source (LPS) output per IEC 60950-1 and/or classified PS2 power source per IEC 62368-1 rated: 24Volts DC, maximum 1.25 Amp  

Only power your Device with the included power adapter and cable. Failure to use compatible accessories can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories.

Child Safety

This device is not a toy. Your Device may contain small parts, plastic elements, and parts with sharp edges that may cause an injury or create a choking hazard. Children have strangled on cords and cables. Keep the Device’s cords and cables out of the reach of children (more than 3 feet / 1 meter away) and do not allow them to play with the Device and its accessories. They could hurt themselves or others, or could accidentally damage the Device. Consult a physician immediately if small parts are swallowed.

Hearing Loss

Prolonged exposure to loud sounds (including music) can cause hearing loss. To prevent possible hearing damage, avoid listening at high volume for prolonged periods of time. Continued exposure to high volumes and background noise can make loud sounds seem quieter than they actually are. Check the volume before using headphones or earphones.

Disposal, Transportation, & Recycling

Dispose of and transport your device and accessories according to local environmental and transportation regulations. Do not improperly transport them or dispose of them in normal household waste. Improper disposal or transport may lead to fire, explosion, and/or other hazards. Environmental Restrictions

To prevent damage to your Device, do not use or store the device or its accessories in dusty, smoky, damp, or dirty environments, or near magnetic fields. Keep it away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. Do not leave your Device inside a vehicle or in places where the temperature may exceed 140° F (60° C), such as on a window sill, near a heating vent, or behind glass that is exposed to direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet light for extended periods of time. Medical Device Interference

Your device uses radios and other components that emit electromagnetic fields, and also contains magnets near the speaker. These electromagnetic fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers and other implanted medical devices. Always keep the Device and its power adapter at a safe distance away from the pacemaker or other implanted medical device. If you have questions about using your Google device with or near your pacemaker or other implanted medical device, consult your healthcare provider before using your Device. If you suspect your Device is interfering with your pacemaker or other implanted medical devices, turn off your Google device and consult your physician for information specific to your medical device.

Radio Frequency Exposure

Water Resistance

Your Device is not water resistant. Don’t expose your Device to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. The device and its power adapter are not water resistant and should not be exposed to liquids.

Magnetic Fields

Avoid placing any media containing magnets or sensitive to magnetism, such as credit cards, bank cards, audio/video tapes, or magnetic memory devices, near this Device or its power adapter, because you may lose information stored on those media. Media containing information sensitive to magnets should be kept at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from this Device.

To avoid damaging your phone, accessories, or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage, or other potential hazards, follow these precautions below.

Handling

To avoid damaging your device, accessories or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below:

Handle your Google Home Hub with care. You may damage the device if you disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush or puncture your device. Do not use a device with a cracked screen. Using a damaged device may cause overheating or injury. Don’t expose your Google Home Hub to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. If it gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.
 
Be sure the power adapter and device are well ventilated when in use. Using damaged cables or power adapters, or using your device when moisture is present, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the Google Home Hub or other property.  If it gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source. Do not use your Google Home Hub in the bathroom. Do not expose your Google Home Hub to direct sunlight. Google Home Hub and its adapter are designed to work best in ambient temperatures between 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 140° F (-20° and 60° C). Do not expose the Google Home Hub to temperatures above 140° F (60° C) as this may damage the product or pose a risk of fire.

Maintain a distance of 20 cm (8 inches) from your body to be consistent with how the device is tested for compliance with RF exposure requirements.

Contact customer service and do not use your Google Home Hub if it isn’t working properly or has been damaged.

Repair and service

Don’t attempt to repair your Google Home Hub yourself. Disassembling the device may cause injury.

Prolonged Heat Exposure

Google Home Hub and its charger generate heat during normal operation and comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. Avoid prolonged, direct or indirect skin contact when the device is in use or charging because exposing skin to hot surfaces for a long period of time may cause discomfort or burns. Do not sleep on your device or its power adapter, or cover them with a blanket or pillow. Be aware of this issue if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against your skin.

Proper Handling and Usage

Follow these guidelines when using, storing, cleaning or disposing of your Google Home Hub:

Operating Temperature

Do not use your Google Home Hub or its power adapter at ambient temperatures lower than 0°C (32°F) or higher than 35°C (95°F). If the interior temperature of the device exceeds normal operating temperatures, you may experience the following behaviors while the device tries to regulate its temperature: reduced performance and connectivity or device power down. You may not be able to use the device while it regulates its temperature. Move the device to a cooler (or warmer) location and wait a few minutes before attempting to use it again.  

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the device and adapter before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean the device and power adapter.
Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean Google Home Hub.

Connectors and Ports

When disconnecting the power adapter from a power outlet, pull on the adapter, never on the cable.  Do not twist or pinch the cable and do not force a connector into a port.

Power Supply

Be sure the power adapter and device are well ventilated when in use . Using damaged cables or power adapter or using them when moisture is present, can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device or other property. Make sure the power adapter is plugged into a socket near your Google Home Hub and is easily accessible. This product is intended for use with a certified Limited Power Source (LPS) rated: 14 Volts DC, maximum 1.1 Amp. Only power your Google Home Hub with the included power adapter and cable or compatible accessories available on the Google Store. Failure to use compatible accessories can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories. Compatible accessories may be available on the Google Store and at Google authorized resellers (look for Google’s “made for” badge).
