Your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) now shows more on-screen information when you turn on the new Farsight feature. This includes readings from your Nest Temperature Sensor, indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, air quality, current time, and date.
The thermostat automatically wakes up and switches to the Farsight screen when there’s activity at about 10 feet. With the Farsight screen’s large format, on-screen information is easy to read from the other side of the room.
You can now choose between 4 new Farsight screen designs (for a total of 8) and customize which information is displayed.
Tip: No matter which Farsight setting you choose, your thermostat will always go to sleep to conserve power. It will automatically display important alerts, such as Furnace Heads-Up or other alerts that require your attention.
