Change the Brightness on your Nest Learning Thermostat

You can adjust the brightness of your Nest Learning Thermostat display from the Quick View menu.

 Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen)

  1. On your Nest thermostat, press the display towards the wall to open the Quick View menu.
  2. Choose Settings .
  3. Turn the ring to scroll through the different options and press the display to choose Device Settings.
  4. Turn the ring to scroll through the different options. Press the display to choose Display Brightness.
    • Select Auto to automatically adjust your screen’s brightness based on the surrounding environment.
    • Select Manual to customize the brightness of your thermostat by turning the dial up or down.
  5. Press the display to save your setting.

Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen)

  1. On your thermostat, press the ring to open the Quick View menu.
  2. Choose Settings .
  3. Turn the ring to scroll through the different options. Press the ring to choose Brightness.
  4. Press the ring to adjust the brightness of the Nest Learning thermostat’s display. You can select from Low, Medium, or High or Auto.
Note: If you have a nest Thermostat E, brightness is adjusted automatically.
