With Rush Hour Rewards, you can get rewarded for using less energy when everyone else is using more. And, by enrolling, your Nest thermostat can do it for you automatically, but you will always remain in control.
Indiana Michigan Power will give you a $25 bill credit for signing up for Rush Hour Rewards. And if you stay enrolled through the summer, you’ll receive an additional incentive for each event you participate in.
You need to be Indiana Michigan Power customer with central air conditioning or a heat pump to participate.
Indiana Michigan Power will give you a $25 bill credit for signing up for Rush Hour Rewards. Plus, you’ll receive an additional bill credit after the summer ends if you participate in at least 50% of the rush hour events for that season. Michigan residents will receive $2.40 per event up to a maximum of $36. Indiana residents will receive $1.95 per event up to a maximum of $29.25.

Rush hour events happen when there’s unusually high demand on the grid. During these events, your Nest thermostat will adjust your home’s temperature by up to 4 degrees F, helping you to use less energy on heating or cooling during that time. If you start to feel uncomfortable, you can stop participating at any time by changing the temperature.
