Troubleshoot device unmounted

If you get a ‘device unmounted’ message in the Home app, check that your camera or doorbell is correctly attached to the stand, mounting plate or third-party mount. If the message doesn’t go away, this often means that you need to change the mount type with the Home app.

  1. Open the Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings  and then Device information and then Camera mount.
  4. Select an option to change the type of mount that you’re using.
