Troubleshoot device unmounted

Important: This setting is only available for Nest Camera (battery).

If you get a "Device unmounted" message in the Home app, check that your camera or doorbell is correctly attached to the stand, mounting plate or third-party mount. If the message doesn’t go away, this often means that you need to change the mount type with the Home app.

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Tap Home  and then All devices , then touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, Tap More More menu and then Settings and then Device information and then Camera mount.
  4. Select an option to change the type of mount you’re using.
